The Arkansas Central Cancer Registry, housed at the Arkansas Department of Health, is a population-based registry that maintains data on all cancer patients diagnosed within a certain geographical area and timeframe. The registry is a comprehensive system designed for the collection, management, and analysis of data on individuals with the diagnosis of a malignant or neoplastic disease (cancer).

Community Health Centers of Arkansas

Community Health Centers (CHC) of Arkansas, Inc., Arkansas Primary Care Association, represents 10 federally qualified health centers and 49 community health center clinic sites in medically underserved areas. CHCs provide primary medical, dental, mental health, and preventive services from pediatrics through geriatrics for uninsured, underinsured, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay patients. CHCs provide these services to the uninsured on a sliding fee scale based on federal poverty guidelines. CHC services include screenings for breast, cervical, prostate, colorectal, skin, and oral pharyngeal cancer, as well as patient education.

Conway Regional Health System is a 149-bed facility with a 15-bed in-patient oncology unit and a Hematology/Oncology outpatient unit. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons, the Conway Regional cancer program includes an active tumor board, and ongoing education and support groups for patients and families, including "Share Our Strength" and "Bosom Buddies." Caregivers can also participate in a free 6-hour workshop entitled, "Strength for Living."
