One of the primary goals of the Arkansas Cancer Coalition (ARCC) is to reduce the cancer burden in Arkansas by promoting and increasing public awareness of cancer prevention and control. The ARCC accomplishes this goal by (1) facilitating the educational activities of our partners through dialogue and information exchange, and (2) by providing resources and funding that will advance our partners' individual goals.

County Fact Sheets

These fact sheets provide a “snapshot” of the cancer burden within each Arkansas county. Health professionals, researchers, policy makers, the media, and the public are encouraged to use these fact sheets to learn more about cancer in their community. The information provided on these sheets can assist community advocates in their efforts to create effective local health promotion and prevention programs.

The fact sheets can also be used to guide community planning efforts, and can motivate and inform local leaders, enabling them to make more effective policy decisions and develop evidence-based solutions that will ultimately improve the health of all Arkansans.
