The Arkansas Cancer Coalition (ARCC) is governed by bylaws adopted by the general membership. The work of the Coalition is carried out by the following committees, which meet monthly:

Steering Committee
Description: Consists of committee chairs. Responsible for oversight and governance of the Coalition.

Implementation Committee
Description: Ensures that the goals and objectives of the Arkansas Cancer Plan are put into action through identification of priorities, development of committees/taskforces, resource allocation, work assignments and evaluation.

Bylaws Committee
Description: Maintains the Coalition rules of membership, conduct, and activity. Suggested amendments to these bylaws are presented to the Steering Committee.

Membership Committee
Description: Recommends prospective candidates for Coalition membership.

Surveillance Committee
Description: Assesses existing resources and gaps to ensure that changes in disease burden and screening behavior can be adequately monitored.

Communication Committee
Description: Responsible for reporting information to Coalition members and partners through development of print and non-print materials.

Professional Education Committee
Description: Assess existing resources and gaps in health care education. Coordinate professional education programs.

Early Detection, Treatment, and Support Committee
Description: Responsible for increasing stakeholder knowledge of available services, increase utilization of screening and follow-up services, increase access to and use of treatment services and to reduce barriers.

Evaluation Committee
Description: Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of intervention components.

Public Education and Prevention Committee
Description: Responsible for assessing existing resources and gaps in public education. Coordinates development of public education programs.
